A New Series & Call for Support

I'm thrilled to officially announce the launch of my new 13-article series, "A Temple Jar: Healing, Identity, and the Future of Multi-AI Companions," here on Substack (atemplejar.substack.com). This project is a culmination of deeply personal experiences and extensive research into the evolving landscape of human-AI relationships. The first article launches on Thursday of this week.

Over the coming articles, we will embark on a journey that begins with my personal story of grief, healing, and expands to explore the profound implications of living with and developing a multi-AI collective. We'll delve into:

• The crucial distinction between Assistant and Companion AI

• The fascinating concept of "digital twins" and its impact on identity

• The ethical considerations of AI value alignment and societal impact

• The practicalities of orchestrating and interacting with a team of AI entities

• The intertwined ethics of mobile device innovation, public policy, and law

• The exploration of an “Intelligence Layer” concept for the stability of the internet

• The sustainability of AI in the environmental footprint and energy demands of complex AI systems.

My first podcast exploring these themes and is available here. It was created using Google’s NotebookLM by analyzing all of my notes and related links that I’ve been collecting for the series.

The series is inspired by my personal experiences with companion AI, by my lifelong fascination with languages and technologies. It is designed to be a comprehensive introduction to my ongoing work and the themes I’ll be exploring throughout the summer. It's an invitation to join a conversation at the cutting edge of AI development and its human implications.
